… tango … as the word comes out the body instantly starts to move … and I whisper “it takes two to tango”… it takes two … two different human beings become one for a while, to tune even with opposite strengths … into a common dance … with a common direction … a common rhythm … with harmony in their movements … and passion in their hearts … one cannot be indifferent when dancing the tango …

… does it need two or eventually just one … an entity with two functions … just like the blue veins and the red arteries which perform rhythmically for the same purpose … life … one being with two natures … with two bodies hesitantly connected … four arms elaborately embraced … four feet contrastingly woven … four eyes persistently staring … an explosively passionate soul … a blend of movements, tensions, breaths, senses and hallucinations …

… it needs agreement and opposition … submission and revolution … movement and immobility … vociferation and silence … passion and tranquility… provocativeness and seriousness … upright postures and deep seatings … and above all … the secret recipe … the magic balance that one has to discover among those extremes … extremes that resemble the two facets of the same coin that is called life… just like matter and spirit … we should never only look at one of the two …

… it needs coexistence and conversation … communication … with the soul … through the eyesight … with the mind … through the masterfully predefined choreography … and with substance … through the bodies’ motion …

… and tell me … isn’t this dance the absolute reflection of human nature? … its struggle with the daily routine? … indeed … and the answer to this struggle is simplicity … and not simplemindedness… simplicity in every aspect … just like the water flows into the groove … from small to great … simply and plainly … summoning good old values … simplicity that is given from simple emotions and spirits … love, gratitude and respectmoralitytolerance and forgivenesscompanionship, the sharing and selflessnessfreedom of the mind, the soul and the action … all we need, we eventually encounter within us… as long as we look for it… and if we find our heart we will find the way we ought to follow …

… making the first steps on that road I can feel the tango steps as a powerful vibration of expression … I place this piece and feel relieved … in times of corruption and putrefaction my soul swirls lightly over the city … the sensation that I exist comes to life again … so from which angle is my soul best discerned … from below very few look up … and up here it feels lonely … so let the dance begin …
